Last week I migrated a customer environment to V14.5.1 and could see the following error message on the console during the scheduled DirSync:

[15E4:0004-2ADC] DirSync> DirSyncConfig Last Chance exception caught here.  Error  784.

I also took a look at the entry https://developer.ds.hcl-software.com/t/dirsync-error-784-specified-item-is-not-present-dirsyncstatewarningtime/171910/8 in the Developer Forum and finished the offline maintenance of the names.nsf and the da.nsf.

The customer is using the German template of PUBNAMES.NTF and I was not able to find the mentioned item “DirSyncStateWarningTime “.

But after checking that the correct templates are in place I recreated the configured DirSync task and afterwards the error was gone and everything was working fine again.

Also beware that in the current template you have the option to set the option for enabling with a Load Balancer for your Active Directory directly in the DirSync configuration. Or otherwise you still can put the
following NOTES.INI entry to your server:
