Today I had the issue that a young admin from a customer removed all LDAP bind accounts from the Domino Directory for HCL Sametime, HCL Connections and HCL SafeLinx.

He did a great job to also add those accounts to the “NoAccess Group”.

So all collaboration solutions did not work anymore. We had to restore the accounts from a backup to get everything up and running again.

By now there´s an option in the directory profile of the Domino Directory which allows an admin to add groups which cannot be removed from the directory. If you think that it also would be extremely helpful to have the option to add user accounts to this profile please feel free and vote for this idea:
